CICA Museum invites artists from around the world to participate in “Art School,” the International Exhibition. We welcome works in photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, painting, sculpture, and installation that explore themes related to art schools around the world, the meaning of teaching and learning art in our time, particularly in the age of AI, and the social, cultural, and geopolitical dynamics, limitations, and accessibility of art education.

Photographs and 2D Digital Art

Selected works will be printed in the standard size of 10 × 15 inches or 10 x 10 inches, framed, and installed by our curators and assistants. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in larger sizes. Additional fees may apply for oversized prints.

Video and Interactive Art

We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the exhibition. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. If your work must be shown exclusively via a projector, or if more than 2 projectors or monitors are required, please include these specifications in your submission email. Additional fees may apply.

Painting, Sculpture, and Installation Art

Artists are responsible for the shipment and delivery of their physical works to and from CICA Museum, including all related expenses. Two-dimensional works should not exceed 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side. Installation pieces must be no larger than 39 × 39 × 79 inches (1 × 1 × 2 m, width × length × height). Wall-mounted works must not exceed 10 kg in weight. If you are interested in exhibiting a work that exceeds these size or weight limits, please mention it in your submission email.

*How to submit your work:

– Please send us up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500KB recommended), and your bio. Please email them to “[email protected].”

– Please write “Submission: Art School – Category – Artist’s Name” in the subject line of your email.

If the work is selected, the artist will be required to pay the show processing & maintenance fee: $75 (USD) per work.

CICA 미술관 국제전 “아트 스쿨 (Art School)” 공모

CICA미술관에서 국제전 “Art School”에 전 세계 아티스트들을 초대합니다. 본 전시는 세계 각지 예술 학교에 대한 다양한 주제 및 이슈들, AI가 대두되는 현 시대 예술 교육의 의미, 또한 예술 교육이 직면한 사회적, 문화적, 지정학적 동향, 한계, 접근성 등을 탐구하는 작품을 전시합니다. 사진, 2D 디지털 아트, 비디오 아트, 인터랙티브 아트, 회화, 조각, 설치미술 등 다양한 형식의 작품을 환영합니다.

선정된 작품은 10×15 inch (25.4cm x 38.1cm) 또는 10×10 inch (25.4cm x 25.4cm) 사이즈로 출력되어 프레이밍되며 CICA 미술관 큐레이터와 스텝이 설치합니다. 다른 사이즈로 프린트를 원하실 경우 지원 이메일에 명시하여 주시기 바랍니다.

– 영상 및 인터렉티브 아트

전시를 위한 프로젝터, DVD/DIVX 플레이어 등이 지원되며 작품은 CICA 미술관의 큐레이터들이 작가님의 가이드라인에 따라 작품을 설치 예정입니다. 작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 몇 점의 싱글 채널 비디오 작품들이 한 프로젝터에서 상영될 예정입니다. 작품이 하나의 프로젝터에서 단독으로 설치되어야 하는 경우, 또는 두 대 이상의 프로젝터나 모니터를 필요로 하는 작품의 경우 추가 비용이 발생할 수 있습니다.

– 회화, 조각 및 설치 작업

작품의 수송에서 발생하는 비용은 작가가 부담합니다. 평면 작업의 경우 최대 1 m × 1 m의 작품을, 설치 작업의 경우 최대 1m x 1m x 2m (w x l x h) 이하의 작품을 공모하실 수 있습니다. 벽에 설치하는 작품의 경우 최대 10 kg까지 가능합니다. 그 외 사이즈의 작품의 전시를 원하실 경우 지원 이메일에 명시하여 주시기 바랍니다.
