Since I have a huge interest in startup industry, I was excited to see D.match global  2017. I know that I will find professional satisfaction from its values and cultures. More significantly, I am confident that my former experiences, in concert with focus on strategic thinking, analytical/problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills will lead to a rapid addition of value at your company.

Strategic thinking – At Panasonic Korea, I am in charge of new product introduction and introduced “Space Player,” a new concept of product emerging lighting and projection, to Korean market. Since it was a new product, I had to prepare everything in detail from A to Z. Although the product has a fatal disadvantage with its low brightness, I positioned it at nightclub and bar as an advertisement medium. With my product introduction plan, I succeeded to persuade Panasonic HQ and started to plan presale from cold calls. Fortunately, I could make a contract with Club Flux at Pusan Paradise hotel and supplied products. Whatever the product is, I strive to figure out product’s advantages and think strategically how to sell and position it to consumers.
 

Analytical / Problem solving Skills – To reflect changing environment of fast moving consumer goods market in Korea, I had tried to understand how customers’ composition and sales rate are related and change utilizing SAP database at General Mills – Häagen-Dazs. As a marketing intern, I was in charge of planning marketing campaign and analyzing the customers’ trends and sales. I arranged sales data by various criteria such as flavor, container, distribution channel, and composition, so I could grasp the strength and weakness of products. Then, I made several marketing proposals considering each circumstance of product to boost sales. Based on data, I analyze them in a detail presenting a variety of views and maximize its efficiency with meaningful numbers to reach the targeted goal.

Interpersonal Skills – Through experiences in travelling diverse countries, I enjoy to communicate with people from different backgrounds and values. When I visited one bar at Roppongi area in Japan, I interpreted for a random foreigner by chance, and he gave me his business card. I realized that he is a former executive of Dusit Thani, an international hotel chain in Thailand. Later I went backpacking through Southeast Asia, and he treated me to fabulous meals and hotel room. I consider people more important than any other element even in workplace. Since most of the work cannot be done alone, I always try to associate with employees from any team. I am confident that I can utilize my interpersonal skills at building deep relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
