모집안내

◾ 채용부문 : Production

◾ 근무기간 : 12개월 

◾ 근무시간 : 주 40시간

◾ 급여 : $18 / an hour 

◾ 연 환산급여 : 약 $37,440 / a year (주 40시간 52주 근무 기준 이며, 주말 및 공휴일 over time 근무에 따라 변동 가능)

◾ 급여 외 보상 : 주 2회 중식제공, 숙소비용 월 $500 지원, 2주 근무마다 3시간 휴가 지원, 입국시 공항픽업 - Relocation Fee $1500 지원 (입국후 reimburse방식), 보험 제공 

◾ 자격조건 : 영어로 업무수행 가능자 - TOEIC Speaking IH (140-150), OPIC IM3 이상 혹은 그에 준하는 수준을 가진 자


Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Intern is responsible for learning and supporting production management in various lines including Heavy Slitter, Light Slitter, Cut To Length, Mini Shearer, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, and Safety & Maintenance. This role involves understanding production processes on each line, assisting in production scheduling and resource management, monitoring line progress, preparing reports, and collaborating with managers to ensure an efficient production environment. This role involves a 3-month job rotation in Heavy Slitter, Light Slitter, Cut To Length, and Mini Shearer to learn the processes through hands-on production support, followed by placement opportunities in those areas, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, or Safety & Maintenance. The duration of the job rotation may vary depending on the intern's aptitude, performance, and the company's needs and discretion.

• Assist and understand production processes in the Heavy Slitter, Light Slitter, Cut To Length, Mini Shearer, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, and Safety & Maintenance lines, grasping the unique requirements of each line.

• Assist in loading and stringing coils on machine such as slitter or shearer. Monitor quality standards before during and after the processing.

• Assist in operating recoiler control panel that cuts the steel coil down into smaller widths while running through a trim roll former that blends the functions of the slitting line with the sheet tensioner along with a coil reel to rewind the steel on the coil.

• Safely operate the forklift to move coils to designated areas and run the overhead crane to move coils from the slitter to packaging after training and getting a license.

• Unload the scrap winder as necessary when it becomes full.

• Monitor the paper winder

• Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.

• Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers, and calipers.

• Operate the coil car to load and align coils onto the uncoiler, ensuring proper positioning for processing.

• Monitoring and Recording: Maintain accurate records of production data (start time, coil number, dimensions, scrap, quantity).

• Generate inventory numbers, print labels, and manage palletizing, including combining products from multiple coils.

• Monitor sheet stacking and collaborate with Quality Control to verify measurements.

• Slitter Setup and Operation Support:  Assist with slitter setup by reading job orders, verifying coil identity, and threading coils.

• Assist with packaging and preparing finished goods for shipment.

• Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products.

• Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations.

• Implement and improve quality control operating procedures.

• Participate in routine visual inspections.

• Answers customer complaints both verbally and in writing.

• Be able to complete Audits and corresponding paperwork related to ISO 9001 Certifications.

• Support and promote safe practices in accordance with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.

• Assist with incident investigations (injury, property damage, near-miss, environmental deviations, etc.) and root cause analysis, working with the plant operations team to determine appropriate corrective/preventative actions, and implement necessary measures.

• Conduct risk and hazard assessments/inspections to determine employee risk/exposure, assist in preparing or facilitating actions to mitigate/reduce them, and support in implementing recommended measures.

• Assist in maintaining and improving the plant's safety monitoring and recordkeeping systems in accordance with all company and federal regulatory requirements.

• Assist in delivering safety, health, and environmental training sessions for plant personnel and support in addressing issues that may arise.

• Assist in compiling and tracking documentation for compliance with safety and environmental policies and required activities (Work Notifications, Inspection Records, Audits, OSHA 300, etc.).

• Support adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.

• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and production machines.

• Troubleshoot and locate sources of mechanical problems by observing devices in operation, listening for issues.

•  Remove defective parts and support repairs using hoists, cranes, and various hand and power tools.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Other duties as assigned by Management.
